Just what I needed: a Crichton-esque adventure but more gory to pass a rainy weekend, a justification for me being a homebody, a reason I will never get near a rafflesia plant (just sayin... it freaks me out), characters I could relate to so that reading their thoughts was compelling, but not empathize too much with so that their inevitable deaths weren't too realistically heartwrenching, just the normal amount.
