The Idiot
I kept trying to describe this book to people and failing, but it is exactly the sort of book that I love. My tastes remain ineffable to me, apparently. The narration is detailed, things happen but not too fast, it's funny, the narrator is blind to some things that we the readers can see but also painfully self-aware in some respects. The cover is so good.
