The Swallow: A Ghost Story
The alternating perspectives and book design make this a page turner. I wouldn't call it a thriller or strictly a horror story, more like a gentle ghostly friendship/realistic historical book. If you don't interrogate the worldbuilding too much and just concentrate on empathizing with the girls it is sweet and satisfying.
