I want to just give this 3 stars because it was a little showy not telly, but it was so compulsively readable, and there was great, believable sexual tension. Freely give this to anyone who liked Ender's Game or the Uglies series (or Brave New World). It references elements of these but is its own thing, and I dig that. Ignore the clunky cover that probably was designed for "boy appeal".
