I made 3 things from this book:
Carrot and Oat Rolls
Oatbake with blueberries
Arctic Roll with vanilla and chocolate
I brought it back from the library because it's too hot to bake right now.
The thing that I really like about the dessert type recipes here is that they are not super-sweet. They are low key on the sugar. The blueberry cake used milk and oats and was great for breakfast. Even the arctic roll (a cake and ice cream roll) derived most of its sugar from the ice cream and optional chocolate shavings. The cake itself was a meringue based cake and only had a 1/2 cup sugar. And the carrot and oat rolls were great for sandwiches.
And the design of the book made me feel like I was back in the late 90s reading Details and that made me happy.
Edited to add: A fault of the design is that the fractions are very hard to read - thanks other reviewer for reminding me!
