Battling Boy
I read this... and must have forgotten to log it in my GR. (Unless it was secretly deleted by GR operatives)anyway I love paul pope's drawing, everything looks like it's always on the verge of freaking out, like it's full of lots of energy, but not in a sloppy way. The colors are fantastic, the monsters and villains are creepy-funny; I had the quibble that a lot of people had which was Battling Boy was maybe the least compelling part of the story.
